The Hobbit

Well let me start by saying that the Hobbit book and movie are both my favorite forms of entertainment. In fact my thesis is based of Dwarf culture Well if I were to think about how the hobbit failed and succeed in the Heros journey. In the classic hero journey. He starts in a somewhat ordinary world and definitely had a call to adventure. He denied that adventure with the dwarfs at first and later agreed . okay so far so good pretty cut and dry hero journey. Lets continue He has to meet a mentor has more than a dozen. Now for crossing the threshold. Is definitely when he started to be more sure of himself and saved the dwarfs lives several times. The ordeal and or challenge that he went tho is the journey itself. I mean heroes journey all the way. But here is where it drops off. a little i mean He doesn't not really resurrect or fall or anything like that he just keeps moving forward. After that he does return with  reward and as a different more world person.
